So, would I rather pay £28 for a DVD set or £13?
By holding out a few months, the third series of Waking The Dead comes down over 50%. Series four is now at £18. I’ll wait a month or two.
But I will not order the Les secrets des enfoirés 2008 CD from amazon.co.uk. 33 quid versus €28. ‘Nuff said.
We’re thinking about our 2008 long vacation, so Cheri goes to the National Trust (UK) Cottages web site.
And one of the featured cottages on the entry page is the place we stayed at in 2002: Heath End Lodge, Ticknall, Derbyshire (although it’s actually in Calke, not Ticknall).
We loved it there. We had a great time. Someday we want to go back to it or its cousin, Ticknall Lodge (at the other entrance, and within walking distance to the village).
The RSC (that’s Reduced Shakespeare Company) will be doing a one-off of the Star Wars saga, blessed by George himself.
It is supposed to be broadcast on Sky Movies.
If any of y’all can grab a copy, I’d be forever in your debt, although I don’t know how I could repay you.
Order 3 DVDs (including the Footballers’ Wive$ box set of series 1 and 2) and a CD on Saturday evening (PDT) from amazon.co.uk.
On Wednesday, the package arrives.
Very typical service from the European amazon companies.
|You Belong in London
You belong in London, but you belong in many cities… Hong Kong, San Francisco, Sidney [sic]. You fit in almost anywhere.
And London is diverse and international enough to satisfy many of your tastes. From curry to Shakespeare, London (almost) has it all!
(Thanks, talonvaki! Oh, and happy b-day to kay_bee (where has she been?))
